Composition
The product contains 4% chlorhexidine bigluconate and excipients: EDTA, TRIS base, TRIS hydrochloride, TWEEN-20, 1,3-butylene glycol, glycerin and purified water.
Indication
The product is prescribed for dogs, cats and horses for bacterial and fungal, including yeast, skin infections, as well as as a preventive or adjunctive antimicrobial treatment.
Administration
The product is applied externally: affected areas are treated with a cloth or gauze swab moistened with the product, or irrigated using a dispenser. Applied 1–2 times daily for the first 2–3 days, then once daily as healing progresses; course lasts 7–14 days or as directed by a veterinarian.
Contraindications
Not recommended for use in cases of hypersensitivity to chlorhexidine. Do not allow contact with eyes and mucous membranes, and do not use for treatment of body cavities, ear canals and surgical wounds.
Special precautions
Chlorhexidine has bactericidal and fungicidal effects. The product retains activity in the presence of blood and pus; adverse reactions are possible in combination with products containing soaps, detergents, alkalis, anionic compounds and iodine.
Shelf life
Shelf life — 2 years from the date of manufacture when stored under the recommended conditions. Store in the manufacturer's packaging, in a dry place protected from direct sunlight, separately from food and feed, at a temperature from +5 °C to +25 °C.
