Composition

1 mL of the product contains 50 mg of gabapentin, as well as excipients, including medium-chain triglycerides and colloidal silicon dioxide.

Indications

The product is prescribed for dogs and cats as a preventive treatment for increased anxious behavior, seizures, and neuropathic pain, including postoperative and cancer-related pain.

Administration

Administer orally. For neuropathic pain, including postoperative and cancer-related pain: – for animals weighing 2–5 kg: 10 mg/kg, corresponding to 0.2 mL of the product per kg of body weight, 3 times daily; – for animals weighing over 5 kg: 7.5 mg/kg, corresponding to 0.15 mL of the product per kg of body weight, 3 times daily. For long-term therapy: no longer than 14 days. As an anticonvulsant: – for adult animals weighing 2–5 kg: 20 mg/kg, corresponding to 0.4 mL of the product per kg of body weight, 3 times daily; – for adult animals weighing over 5 kg: 15 mg/kg, corresponding to 0.3 mL of the product per kg of body weight, 3 times daily. To control increased anxious behavior, administer a single dose of 30–50 mg/kg, corresponding to 0.75–1.0 mL of the product per kg of body weight, 1–2 hours before the anticipated stressful event. Shake the bottle thoroughly before use. A dosing syringe is used for accurate administration.

Contraindications

The instructions do not contain a separate contraindications section. It is stated that the product is not recommended for pregnant or lactating female dogs and cats. Use with caution in animals with renal insufficiency.

Special Considerations

The product may be used in puppies and kittens from 8 weeks of age. Possible reactions include drowsiness, lethargy, ataxia, slowed movements, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. As a rule, these reactions resolve after discontinuation of use. The product is not intended for food-producing animals.

Shelf Life

The shelf life of the product is 2 years from the date of manufacture, provided that storage and transportation conditions are observed. After opening the bottle, the product may be stored for 6 months. Store at a temperature from +5 °C to +25 °C in a dry place protected from light, away from food and feed, out of reach of children.
