Composition
Contains Tris base, Tris hydrochloride, benzyl alcohol, EDTA and purified water. Tris base content is 0.5–1.5%; Tris hydrochloride, benzyl alcohol and EDTA are each present at 0.1–1.0%.
Purpose
Intended for dogs, cats, puppies, kittens and pet rabbits for routine hygienic care of the auricle and ear canals. It gently cleanses the external ear canal of earwax, dirt and exudate crusts, supports a healthy microflora and may be used for preliminary cleansing before veterinary medicinal products are administered as part of otitis treatment.
Directions for use
Instil a sufficient amount of lotion into the ear canal and gently massage the base of the ear for one minute. Remove excess product with gauze or a cotton pad. When used before veterinary medicinal products, carry out the procedure as directed by a veterinarian.
Contraindications
Do not use in animals with known intolerance to any of the ingredients or on areas with open skin lesions. Discontinue use if skin irritation occurs and consult a veterinarian.
Product features
For external use only. The product is a clear, colourless to pale-yellow liquid with a neutral odour and a pH of 5.0–8.5. Avoid contact with eyes and wash hands after use.
Shelf life
Shelf life is 2 years from the date of manufacture. After first opening, store for no longer than 6 months at 5–25 °C in the closed original packaging, in a dry, cool place protected from direct sunlight and separately from food and animal feed. Do not use after the expiry date.
